CANDY / CHRISTMAS PEPPERMINT PATTIES

 

 

Ingredients

Powdered sugar 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
Karo syrup 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
Water 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
Vanilla extract 1 Tablespoon
Peppermint extract 1 Tablespoon
Butter 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
Blue food coloring 5 Drop
Red food coloring 5 Drop
Green food colouring 5 Drop
Yellow food coloring 5 Drop
Crisco 3 Tablespoon
Semi sweet morsels 2 Cup (32 tbs)
For dusting
Powdered sugar 2 Tablespoon

Directions

MAKING
1. Using a stand mixer, mix together powdered sugar, karo syrup, water, vanilla and peppermint extract, followed by the butter. Mix until it forms dough.
2. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and add in four different colors.
3. Place the powdered sugar over the kitchen counter and place the balls and roll with a rolling pin, and cut with a small glass. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients and place into the refrigerator.
4. In a double boiler, mix together Crisco and morsels, until melted thoroughly.
5. Dip the patties into the chocolate and refrigerate.SERVING
6. Serve to your guest along with some divinity cookies.
